She was rescued from a high kill shelter just hours before she was to be put to sleep. A sweet and loving dog, but she was injured which hurt her chances of adoption, and the shelter was full. When Worthee was taken to the veterinarian, they found out that she had a torn ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) and would have lost use of her leg without surgery.
Thanks to generous donations plus contributions from our own volunteers we were able to have her leg repaired.
The bill for the surgery and after care was over $2000. After 3 long months of recovery, Worthee found her forever home and family where she can be loved and cared for, plus she has a healed leg so she can run and play! Without help, Worthee would have been just another sad statistic, but thanks to you and Alleys Rescued Angels, she is healthy, happy, and loving life and featured in our 2013 calendar.
